Case study · Allied health & wellness
A calm, credible platform for a growing wellness practice
Holistic Hijama is a Melbourne wellness practice whose care quality had outgrown its web presence. ENGIS Studio rebuilt it end to end: a clear treatment architecture, a booking journey connected to the clinic’s practice-management system, and a visual language that earns trust before the first appointment.
Starting point
Where things stood
- A dated, fragmented presence that undersold the practice and its practitioners.
- Treatment information scattered without a clear structure, making comparison and choice difficult.
- No direct path from interest to a confirmed booking.
- Little foundation for accessibility, privacy or future content growth.
Before & after
See the transformation

Challenges
What made it hard
- Health-adjacent content demands careful, non-exaggerated language and privacy-aware design.
- Customers arrive with very different levels of familiarity — from first-time researchers to returning clients.
- Booking had to reflect real availability, not a contact form pretending to be one.
- The practice needed to update everyday content — hours, holidays, announcements — without a developer.
Strategy
The transformation approach
- 01Restructure everything around three questions a visitor actually asks: what is this, is it right for me, how do I book.
- 02Design a calm, premium visual system appropriate to a health setting — credible rather than clinical, warm rather than casual.
- 03Engineer booking as a first-class journey with live availability, backed by the clinic’s practice-management platform.
- 04Build accessibility, privacy and content-safety in from the start, not as a retrofit.
